WHAT KIND OF PUBLICATIONS DO YOU SHOOT?
I have experience with different type of publications including artist monographs, photo books, novels, lifestyle books, paper samples etc. No matter how simple or complex your publication is, I am happy to find a solution.
HOW DO I SHIP MY PUBLICATIONS TO YOU? If you live in Netherlands we can simply arrange a meeting. Otherwise, you may use any of the major carriers DHL, UPS, Post.nl or other private courier. I recommend that you pack your items carefully and waterproof.
WHERE DO I SHIP MY PUBLICATIONS?
My photo studio is based in Amsterdam. The shipping address will be forwarded at the time of acceptance of my quote.
WILL YOU RETURN MY PUBLICATION (S)?
Yes, if you would like your publications returned, simply include a pre-paid return label at the time of your shipment. Or, I will bill you upon completion of the shoot.
WHAT RIGHTS DO I HAVE FOR USAGE OF PHOTOS?
Usage rights are not granted, you have to include The Book Photographer when using images online (incl.soc.media) and if printed. If you want to share images with a third party, please inform me prior to the photoshooting.
CAN I SIT IN ON A SHOOT?
Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no possibility for the client to participate at the photoshooting. If I have certain questions or concerns about how your publications are shot, I will send a brief preview to you for approval prior to your publications being shot.
CAN YOU TAKE PICTURES AT THE LOCATION? At the moment all the photoshootings are done at my studio. Portable studio is planned for mid-2024.
ARE INTERNS WELCOME IN YOUR STUDIO?
Yes. You can currently apply for internships in marketing and social media. Working remotely is an option; 8-24h per week.
In addition to the fundamentals of running a business, you'll gain a lot of knowledge about how to collaborate, research, manage your time while working on the project, and other skills you wouldn't have expected. After all, everyone learns life and work lessons differently, depending on how they want it to go.
Good personality and enthusiasm are what I value most during the selecting process. For me, it is far more significant than your skills.
